The federal government, as well as the following states, have Telemarketing Rules that require telemarketers to purcahse and "scrub" against their Do Not Call Lists: Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming. Wisconsin recently passed a new law eliminating their state list.
When calling into the above-states, telemarketers are required to scrub their numbers against the local state-specifc DNC lists. In these sames states, as well as all other states, you must also scrub against the federal/national Do Not Call List.
